Jesus answered, "Amen, Amen I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of water and of Spirit." John 3:5
CCC 1213 Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian Life, the gateway to life in the Spirit (vitae spritualis ianua), and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word."
For the baptism of children who are not yet of catechetical age, a Baptismal Preparation Session is provided for parents on the third Monday evening of each month. Parents should register for participation in this session in advance by contacting the parish office or you may fill out the form below, submit it to the parish office, and we will contact you to for the additional information that is necessary.
The Sacrament of Baptism is regularly celebrated regularly on the first Sunday afternoon of each month following the 11:30 Mass. Alternate days and times can be arranged if there is serious need. Baptisms are scheduled during the Baptismal Preparation Session.
Baptism for children who are of catechetical age is celebrated after the child has participated in one of our religious education programs either in full-time school or in our parish school of religion (PSR). Baptism for adults is celebrated annually at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday night after those seeking baptism have participated in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults throughout the prior year.
Please contact the Rectory office to schedule pre-baptism class.
