Medical Emergency

In the event of a medical emergency:

Report the issue to an usher immediately.

• Ushers will inform the priest or deacon and contact EMS.
• If necessary, the priest or deacon will request help from any doctors, nurses, or medical professionals present.
• The priest will immediately administer the Anointing of the Sick if the situation seems critical.
• Worship will continue if possible without too much distraction. Please be attentive to prayer, especially for the well-being of the one who has taken ill.
• Ushers will guide EMS personnel to the person in need.
• If you are near the person in distress, clear the area to allow EMS access to the person.
• If you are necessarily involved in assisting the person in distress, continue doing so until you are relieved by EMS.
