My name is Beth Harmon and I am proud to say I have been a member of Sts. Joachim & Ann for 18 years. Both my husband and I have taken active roles in the parish and school serving as coaches, sports coordinators, and school board, to name a few. After graduating from UMSL with a BS in Elementary Education, my husband and I moved to Springfield, IL and I taught second grade at St. Aloysius. When my husband’s job brought us back to Missouri, we decided to start our family and I became a stay at home mom. I was blessed with five wonderful children and as they grew I got the urge to return to teaching and became a substitute teacher at J & A. After two years I felt my family could handle it if I taught full time and I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to teach a combined first and second grade class at St. Joseph in Josephville. As much as I loved teaching at St. Joe’s, I am so excited to join the faculty at J & A. I feel like I am home.”
