Stitches for Life was started about 15 years ago. Our mission is to provide warmth and comfort for the poor and elderly one stitch at a time. We sew for the newborn to the elderly and provide lap blankets, afghans, quilts, booties, bibs, caps, slippers and many other items. Our organization donates to Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service, St. Augustine Christmas Appeal, Wellston Center, Birthright, Wings of Hope, Knights of Columbus, Mary Queen of Angels, Our Lady's Inn, Energycare, and many more. We also give to several parishes' auctions, as well as Kenrick Seminary, Dirk's Rescue, and others.
There are no meetings to attend - the ladies sew from their homes and one of our volunteers delivers the supplies and picks up finished items. If someone would like to meet, we have various committees. Please contact us for details.
